Volleyball Triumphs in 3-0 Win Over Lincoln
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's volleyball team (2-4) whizzed by Lincoln University (PA) 3-0 in a 48 minute match on Tuesday night. The Lady Rams won 25-3, 25-9 and 25-13.
CACC ‘Player of the Week' Celena Rendon (San Antonio, TX/ Tom C. Clark) led the way with a team-high nine kills. The junior outside hitter also recorded a .412 attack percentage.
Junior right side hitter Nicole Berkstresser (Bridgewater, NJ/ Bridgewater-Raritan) showed her tenacity with seven kills, two block assists and an .812 attack percentage.
Defensively, junior Natalie Amodei (West Chester, PA/ Bishop Shanahan) led the Lady Rams with 11 digs. Sophomore setter Lauren Hoover (New Baltimore, MI/ Anchor Bay) added 18 assists.
Freshman played an impressive role in the win, as middle hitter Julie Niblock (Sykesville, MD/ Century) had five digs in three games played and setter Adrienne Stigura (Reading, PA/ Reading Central Catholic) had ten assists and two digs in just one game played.
The Lady Rams take a week off before hosting Millersville on Tuesday, September 16th at 7:00 p.m.
