Volleyball Pushes Past Holy Family in 3-1 Win
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women's volleyball team (17-2, 7-1 CACC) defeated Holy Family University (6-14, 4-2 CACC) in a 3-1 conference win on the road Thursday night. Senior defensive specialist Cindy Adams (Fleetwood, PA/ Fleetwood) led the Lady Rams with three kills, 16 digs and three block assists on the night.
Set scores were: 19-25, 25-21, 25-11, 25-20.
Senior Nicole Berkstresser (Bridgewater, NJ/ Raritan-Bridgewater) had 14 kills and one block, while middle hitter Molly Malone (Rochester, NY/ Gates Chili) added seven kills and two digs on the night and junior setter Lauren Hoover (Mew Baltimore, MI/ Anchor Bay) combined for 22 set assists and seven digs.
The Lady Rams return to action on Saturday (10/3) for their homecoming match vs. Lincoln University at 1:00 p.m. at the Gallagher Athletic Center.
