Volleyball Shuts Down Felician College 3-0
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University volleyball team (15-2, 5-1 CACC) got their 12th shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over visiting Felician College (2-9, 1-3 CACC) on Saturday afternoon. Senior outside hitter Celena Rendon (San Antonio, TX/ Tom C. Clark) led the Lady Rams with six kills, 15 digs and four service aces.
Set scores were: 25-12, 25-10 and 25-21.
Also coming up big were sophomore middle-hitter Julie Niblock (Sykesville, MD/Century) and senior defensive specialist Cindy Adams (Fleetwood, PA/Fleetwood). Niblock racked up six kills and one dig, while Adams had five kills and five digs, respectively.
PhilaU junior setter Lauren Hoover (New Baltimore, MI/Anchor Bay) had a team-high 16 serve assists for PhilaU along with four digs.
The maroon and gray return to the hardwood on Tuesday (9/29) vs. Goldey-Beacom College at 7 p.m.
