Coach Magarity Announces Three Incoming Volleyball Recruits
Philadelphia, PA- PhiladelphiaUniversity head volleyball coach Mark Magarity has announced his incoming recruiting class, set to head to campus this coming fall. The three recruits include Danielle Carney (Thousand Oaks, CA/ Thousand Oaks), Ellie Edgar (Cuyahoga Falls, OH/ Cuyahoga Falls) and Mary Mancuso (Granby, MA/ Holyoke Catholic).
"This class that will make an immediate impact on and off the court," said Magarity.
Carney, a 5-10 outside hitter, was a two-year varsity player at Thousand Oaks who was honored with the ‘Scholar-Athlete Award' and the ‘Coaches Award' as a senior. She also competed in track and field.
Edgar, a 6-0 middle hitter, was a three-year varsity player at Cuyahoga Falls who was an All-Conference 1st team selection as a junior and senior. She was also Team MVP as a senior.
Mancuso, a 5-7 setter/libero, was a four-year player at Holyoke Catholic who was a Springfield Republican ‘Super 7 Player' and team captain and MVP as a sophomore. She also ran varsity track and cross country as well as basketball.
