PhilaU Volleyball

Philadelphia, PA- Six kills each from freshman outside-hitter Leanna Lillge and junior middle-hitter Julie Niblock were not enough to lift the Philadelphia University volleyball team (7-4, 5-1 CACC) who fell 3-0 to the Holy Family University Tigers (6-8, 6-2 CACC) on Thursday evening at HFU's Campus Center.  The loss was the first in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for PhilaU.

Set scores were: 25-23, 25-19 and 26-24.

Lillge added eight digs and two service aces to her performance, while rookie outside-hitter Francesca Edmondson tallied five kills for the Rams.

PhilaU senior setter Lauren Hoover turned in 11 sets, while junior Adrienne Stigura tallied 13 for the visitors.  HFU was led by Jill Keeve-who's 16 kills were a game-high.

The PhilaU women return to Henry Ave. for the first time in over two weeks on Saturday (10/2) when they host Bloomfield College at 12:00 p.m. in their homecoming match.
