Volleyball Downed by Kutztown 3-1
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University volleyball team (1-2, 0-0 CACC) lost Tuesday night in a close battle with visiting Kutztown University (4-0, 0-0). Freshman outside-hitter Leanna Lillge (Ixonia, WI/ Water Town) led the charge for the Lady Rams putting up 16 kills while getting 19 digs and one service ace.
Set scores were: 23-25, 25-23, 25-27 and 17-25
Other key players for PhilaU were sophomore outside-hitter Danielle Carney (Thousand Oaks, CA/ Thousand Oaks) who boasted 17 digs and 12 kills as well as freshmen outside-hitter/ libero Brittany Olson (Sycamore, IL/ Sycamore) who ended with 16 digs.
PhilaU senior setter Lauren Hoover (New Baltimore, MI/ Anchor Bay) led the team in sets with 21 while junior setter Adrienne Stigura (Reading, PA/ Reading Central Catholic) put up 17 sets.
