Rams Make Quick Work of Felician College 3-0

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women’s volleyball team (8-7, 5-3 CACC) showed their dominance over Felician College earlier today, winning in three straight sets to start off Homecoming weekend at Philadelphia University. The victory is the team’s second straight, and eighth overall.

Sophomore outside hitter Brittany Olson led the team with seven kills on the day. Jordan Milligan, Ellie Edgar, and Danielle Carney finished with six kills for PhilaU.  

Set scores were: 25-6, 25-19, and 25-22.  

For the Rams defensively, the team was led by junior setter/libero Morgan McCarthy, who tallied 17 digs. Danielle Carney also finished with 10 dig. The Rams collaboratively totaled nine blocks on the day.

PhilaU controlled the tempo in the first and second sets. The third set was a close call for the Rams, but they managed to come away with the victory, defeating Felician College in three unanswered sets. The match is also the team’s fourth 3-0 victory of the season.  

PhilaU looks to continue their hot streak as they host the University of the Sciences on Tuesday, October 4th at 7:00 p.m. in the Gallagher Athletic Center.
