PhilaU Volleyball Snaps Three Game Losing Skid
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Philadelphia University women’s volleyball team (12-11, 9-5 CACC) downed Chestnut Hill College Griffins 3-1 tonight. Set scores were 22-25, 34-32, 25-20, and 25-14. The win is the team’s first in the last four matches.
For the Rams offensively, sophomore outside hitter Brittany Olson completed a game-high 21 kills on the night. Chestnut Hill’s Alex DePalma also finished with 21 kills. Junior outside hitter Danielle Carney also dominated on the offensive side of the ball with 18 kills.
Defensively for the Rams, Danielle Carney and junior libero/setter Morgan McCarthy led all players on the team with 22 digs. Brittany Olson had 14 digs. Liz DiGregorio of the Chestnut Hill Griffins had a game-high 25 digs in the match.
The Rams look to extend their winning streak two as they return home to the Gallagher Athletic Center this Thursday (10/20) to take on Philadelphia Biblical University at 7 p.m.
