PhilaU Downs USciences 3-1; Win Sixth Straight

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Philadelphia University Rams volleyball team (17-11, 13-5 CACC) won their season-high sixth straight match, defeating the USciences Devils, 3-1. Set scores were: 25-12, 25-18, 23-25, and 25-14.

For the Rams offensively, freshman middle hitter Terra Ecker led the team with 11 digs on the night. Sophomore outside hitter Brittany Olson finished with 10 kills and three service aces for PhilaU. Sophomore setter Heather Martin led the Rams in assists with 19, while senior setter Adrienne Stigura tallied 17 helpers.  

On the defensive side of the ball for PhilaU, junior libero Morgan McCarthy had a team-high 22 digs in the match. Olson wound up with 14 digs, and junior outside hitter Danielle Carney finished with 10. The team had an overall game-high 10 blocks against the Devils.

The Rams look to close out the regular season with another victory as they host Nyack College this Thursday (11/3) at 7 p.m. in the Gallagher Athletic Center. PhilaU volleyball will honor its senior student-athletes prior to the match.
