PhilaU Volleyball Downs Bloomfield 3-1
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University
women’s volleyball team (4-5, 2-1 CACC) extended their
win-streak to two, defeating Bloomfield College (1-3) 3-1 in
today's match. It is the team’s second conference victory of
the season and second straight win. Senior middle hitter Julie
Niblock led the team with 9 kills in the match. Junior Ellie Edgar
and sophomore Brittany Olson also had 8 kills each. Clodesh Montano
had a game-high 20 kills for Bloomfield College.
Set scores were: 25-23, 30-28, 19-25, and 25-21.
Defensively for the Rams, junior outside hitter Danielle Carney finished with 19 digs, along with senior Rebekah Waybrant and sophomore Heather Martin, who had 11 digs respectively. Brandi Bodin of Bloomfield led all players in the match with 28 digs on the day.
PhilaU goes for three straight wins when they travel to Georgian Court University on Tuesday (9/20) at 7:00 p.m.
