PhilaU Volleyball Extends Win Streak To 3

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women’s volleyball team (5-5, 3-1 CACC) extended their win-streak to three, defeating Georgian Court University (4-9) in three straight sets. Junior outside hitter Danielle Carney led the team with seven kills on the evening, adding 10 digs defensively.  

Set scores were: 25-20, 25-11, and 25-17. 

Other notable PhilaU players were sophomore Brittany Olson, who led the team defensively with 14 digs, and senior Rebekah Waybrant, who finished with 12 digs on the night. Francheska Cedres had a team high 13 digs for GCU.

PhilaU will take their winning streak south on Thursday (9/22) against Wilmington University at 7:00 p.m.
