PhilaU Volleyball Gets Decisive Win Over Goldey-Beacom

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women’s volleyball team (7-7, 4-3 CACC) controlled the tempo in tonight’s 3-1 victory over Goldey-Beacom College. Sophomore middle hitter Jordan Milligan dominated on both sides of the ball for the Rams tonight. Offensively, Milligan put down 12 kills for the Rams. Defensively, she had five total blocks. Sophomore Brittany Olson ended the night with a game-high 13 kills for PhilaU. Goldey-Beacom’s Kadi McCoy also finished with 13 kills.

Set scores were: 25-18, 17-25, 25-22, and 25-23.

Defensively for the Rams, the team was led by senior Rebekah Waybrant, junior Morgan McCarthy, and sophomore Brittany Olson, all whom finished with 15 digs on the evening. Goldey-Beacom’s Monica Dempsey finished with a game-high 30 digs, but it just wasn’t enough to push the team towards a victory.
