Women Win Wilmington, Men Take Second Overall

New Castle, DE- In soggy conditions at the 9^th Annual Wilmington Invitational, the Philadelphia University women's cross country team took first-place overall and the men finished second.

The men were led by senior Shawn D'Andrea (Blackwood, NJ/ Paul VI) who took the men's 8K title (27:38). Women's sophomore Sarah Simonetti (Perkasie, PA/ Pennridge) took the women's 5K title (20:27).

The women took six out of the top 10 places, while the men took five out of the top 15- falling just one point shy of the title to host Wilmington.
