D’Andrea, Simonetti Lead PhilaU to Top Finishes at Delaware

Newark, DE- Sophomore Sarah Simonetti (Perkasie, PA/ Pennridge) paced her Lady Rams to a first place team finish by taking the individual title (19:39) at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday morning. Other runners in the top 10 were sophomore Anjelica DiNucci (Baltimore, MD/ Dulaney) in fourth (20:00), senior Faith Anderson (Dover, PA/ Dover) in eighth (20:51), sophomore Gabrielle Dei Tos (Freeland, PA/ MMI Prep) in ninth (20:56) and junior Kaitlin O'Leary (Marlton, NJ/ Cherokee) in 10^th (21:00).

For the men, senior Shawn D'Andrea (Blackwood, NJ/ Paul VI) placed second overall (26:55.6) in the men's 8K to lead his squad to second place overall . Also finishing in the top 10 was senior Andrew Piotrowski (Warminster, PA/ William Tennant) in 10^th (28:06)

The Rams return to action on Saturday (9/26) at the Philadelphia Metro Championships at Belmont Plateau at 12:30 p.m.
