PhilaU Women’s XC Receives Nod in NCAA Northeast Preview
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University women’s cross country team received a nod in the recent NCAA northeast region XC preview.
The Lady Rams were ranked third in the region and junior Sarah Simonetti was ranked as the fourth best runner in the area. The preview stated, “Sarah Simonetti will be near the front at Regionals and lead the PhilaU team along with junior Anjelica DiNucci.”
Also earning a mention was incoming freshman Chelsea Attaway, listed along with other quality newcomers joining the regional competition. Attaway, hailing from Liverpool, NY, ran XC, indoor and outdoor track at Liverpool High School. Her XC squad won the league in her junior season.
PhilaU kicks off the 2010 season on Saturday (9/11) at the Wilmington University Invitational at Carousel Park in Wilmington, Delaware at 10 a.m.
